SPOT ON!Spotify Asks Greek Singer and Eurovision Winner Helena Paparizou To Curate ‘The Sound of Greece’ Editorial Playlist

Greek singer, songwriter, and television personality, Helena Paparizou on Tuesday posted on her instagram that she has been asked by Spotify to curate the “Sound of Greece” editorial playlist, for which she has selected some of her favorite Greek Eurovision songs, as well as some hits from her beloved friends and colleagues music artists that will help audience get a taste of Greece!

She further added that, representing Greece in the Eurovision Contest has been one of her greatest and most unique moments in her life. “Even if my winning performance took place 18 years ago, I would never forget how all Greek people- including me- felt that night” – she stated. She also said she will always be grateful for the love she received that day, and she is still receiving from all of you.

Paparizou rose to fame in the early 2000s as a member of the popular Greek-Swedish duo Antique, before embarking on a successful solo career. In 2005, Paparizou achieved international recognition when she won the Eurovision Song Contest for Greece with her song “My Number One.” This victory made her the first Greek artist to win the competition, and the song became a hit across Europe. Since then, Paparizou has released numerous successful albums and singles in Greece, and has also become a popular television personality, hosting a number of reality shows in Greece. In addition to her music and television career, Paparizou has also been involved in various charitable causes, including supporting children’s hospitals and working with organizations that help disadvantaged youth.
