The MoC outlines various provisions, including institutional collaborations and improved communication between the public and private sectors of Greece, Cyprus, and Lebanon. It also entails the exchange of information, expertise, and practical experience regarding tourism industry policies and strategies, such as destination promotion, market research, tourism education and training, and investment attraction. Special attention was given to promoting specific forms of tourism, including cultural tourism, pilgrimage tourism, gastronomy tourism, and health/wellness tourism.

Given the significant role of tourism in the economies of the three countries, and the similarity in their tourism seasons, the MoC aims to foster close cooperation on transnational thematic tourism. By capitalizing on the opportunities offered through themed experiences, the agreement seeks to increase travel flows among the three nations.

The signing of the MoC signifies the commitment of Greece, Cyprus, and Lebanon to collaborate and leverage their shared strengths to boost tourism, enhance visitor experiences, and facilitate sustainable growth in the sector.
