Athens, Greece – The Hellenic National Defence General Staff has officially released the names of the three Armed Forces members who tragically lost their lives in a road accident during a humanitarian mission in Libya. The accident occurred on Sunday, resulting in the repatriation of their bodies, which was completed on Monday.

The three dedicated individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice have been identified as Naval Commander Glykeria Memekidou, Air Force Major Evangelia Andreadaki, 40, and Army Sergeant Giorgios Voulgaris, 27.
In a statement, the General Staff expresses “its sincere condolences to their families.” The incident is under thorough investigation to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the accident.
