This guidance follows the recent Israel-Hamas conflict initiated in response to terror attacks by Hamas on October 7. The Ministry emphasized that the advisory is intended to ensure the safety of Greek travelers in the region.

“We advise Greek citizens to avoid, except when absolutely necessary, non essential travels to Israel, the Palestinian Territories and Lebanon,” the ministry briefly stated on Sunday.
