The Lesvos Food Festival is set to return from July 16th to 23rd, showcasing the gastronomic riches of Lesvos (Lesbos) Island in Greece. The festival aims to promote local products and their suppliers, providing visitors with a unique culinary experience.
Participants will embark on a tantalizing taste journey, exploring the flavors of Lesvos and Greece as a whole. From Mytilini to Molyvos and from Molyvos to Plomari, the birthplace of ouzo, the Lesvos Food Fest takes attendees to every corner of the island, offering opportunities to discover the villages and traditions of one of Greece’s most authentic destinations.
At the Lesvos Food Fest, the fusion of the West and East is harmoniously celebrated. Emphasis is placed on the quality of seasonal primary ingredients and the passion of cottage industries that uphold the standards of the Mediterranean diet. This colorful mosaic of flavors centers around “meze,” ouzo, and, above all, good company.
The festival is organized by the Molyvos Tourism Association in collaboration with the North Aegean Region, and it has received support from various organizations and sponsors. It is held under the auspices and kind support of the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT), the General Secretariat of the Aegean & Island Policy, the NPDD of Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Municipality of West Lesvos, GSEVEE, the Chamber of Lesvos, POESE, and the Association of Distillers and Distillers of Lesvos.
Visitors to the Lesvos Food Fest will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the customs of the island, learn about local recipes, enjoy traditional music, sample new products, and discover the island’s gastronomy and its latest trends.
