LAW BREAKERPolice Officer Arrested for Rape and Human Trafficking in Athens

A shocking case involving a police officer has emerged in Athens as he was arrested on Monday on charges of human trafficking and the rape of a 34-year-old woman. The arrest followed the woman’s complaint, corroborated by her friends and security camera footage, which captured the officer transporting the victim to and from the location where she was subjected to forced prostitution in the city center.

The victim voluntarily approached the authorities on Saturday, providing testimony against the perpetrator for psychological and physical violence, multiple rapes, and coercion into prostitution.

According to the woman’s account, the police officer exploited his position and initially approached her under the guise of offering protection. Subsequently, after they began living together, he seized control of her earnings.

Allegedly, the officer employed physical violence and issued threats, including the possibility of her arrest, deportation, confinement to a psychiatric facility, or even death, if she failed to comply with his instructions and demands.

In a disturbing twist, the victim claimed that the officer promised to marry her, securing her permanent residency in Greece under his “protection” as a means to coerce her into surrendering part or all of her prostitution earnings.

The accused police officer now faces serious charges and is set to appear before an investigator on Wednesday.
