While expressing her frustration at this pivotal point in her career, Tyla assured her fans that she and her team are working diligently to create a spectacular show once she has recovered. The Johannesburg native acknowledged the disappointment felt by her fans, especially those who secured tickets for the upcoming tour. She stated, “Words cannot describe my frustration at this pivotal point in my career. So please know that my team and I are working diligently on a spectacular show for you as soon as I am recovered and ready to return safely onstage this summer.”

Addressing the impact on ticket holders, Tyla informed North American fans that their tickets would be automatically refunded, while international customers would be contacted by their ticket providers regarding options. Despite the setback, Tyla reassured her followers, saying, “Y’all still gonna see me around Tygers, so don’t worry too much… just know when I’m back to performing pain-free, I’m gonna be even more of a problem.”

Tyla’s rise to international fame began last year with her breakthrough single “Water,” which earned her a Grammy Award. The cancellation of her Tyla Tour, scheduled to kick off in Oslo on March 21, and her Coachella appearance was a difficult decision but prioritizes her long-term health and safety.

Despite the tour setback, Tyla’s self-titled debut album is still on track for release on March 22, featuring 14 songs, including the acclaimed singles “Water,” “On And On,” and “Truth Or Dare.” The album holds much anticipation, and fans can expect Tyla’s signature style and musical prowess.

The talented artist, who started her musical journey by posting songs on Instagram, seems resilient and promises a triumphant return to the stage.
