The highly anticipated rumored showdown between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk may find its grand stage at the historic Colosseum in Rome, as per TMZ reports. The Italian government’s Minister of Culture has extended an official offer to Zuckerberg to host the UFC fight between the two tech moguls at the iconic Colosseum. Both Zuckerberg and Musk have expressed keen interest in the proposal, with Zuckerberg forwarding the offer to UFC President Dana White, who is enthusiastic about promoting this potentially billion-dollar fight.
Elon Musk confirmed the offer on his Twitter, stating, “Some chance fight happens in Colosseum.” The Colosseum, a marvel of ancient architecture and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, served as the venue for the Roman Empire’s infamous gladiator contests and various public events. Despite its age, the Colosseum remains the largest standing amphitheater globally and has not hosted any modern-day events inside its walls, apart from a charity performance by Paul McCartney in 2003, as most events are typically held outside the magnificent structure.

Both Zuckerberg and Musk seem to be taking the prospective fight seriously, with numerous interactions on social media indicating their training and preparation. Renowned fighters like Jon Jones, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Henry Cejudo have offered their services to assist both men in their preparations. Musk has even accepted Georges St-Pierre’s offer to train him for the fight, emphasizing their dedication to the bout.
UFC fighter Kevin Lee revealed that the Meta CEO reached out to him for training, and Lee described Zuckerberg as “legit.” In a recent interview with TMZ, Lee said: “I got an offer to go and train with Zuckerberg and he’s legit. He’s for real. He’s really into it.” TMZ asserts that the fight is highly likely to occur, with both Musk and Zuckerberg fully invested in the idea. Negotiations with Dana White are ongoing, with discussions taking place multiple times each day for more than a week. Should this extraordinary event come to fruition, it promises to be an epic clash between two of the world’s most influential tech giants on the historic grounds of the Colosseum.
