Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea sealed the deal in style, swapping vows in a surprise Vegas wedding ceremony right after Usher’s electric performance at Super Bowl LVIII. The 45-year-old music maestro and his longtime love, 40-year-old Jennifer, said “I do” in an intimate affair at Vegas Weddings’ Terrace Gazebo, with Usher’s mom Jonetta Patton as the witness, as confirmed by the marriage certificate.
After the game, the happy couple stepped out in Las Vegas, where Usher proudly sported a gold band on his left ring finger, and Jennifer dazzled in an all-white ensemble, looking every bit the blushing bride. Reflecting on their special day, a rep for Usher gushed to PEOPLE, “They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.”
Usher couldn’t help but share his joy over his newly cemented status as a married man. In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE earlier, he expressed his admiration for Jennifer, saying, “Listen, when you find someone that you know is a great partner, of course it is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you, who you are.”
The Grammy-winning artist also opened up about their journey together, highlighting the deep bond they’ve formed. “I really do feel like I have an amazing partner that I respect,” he shared, adding, “I started this journey, I found and met an amazing partner who happened to be my best friend and was there all the time, and I was like, wow, this could be great.”
