Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a meeting with the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis, during the UN General Assembly in New York. Mitsotakis emphasized, “Greece and Cyprus are in coordination regarding the Cyprus issue.” When asked about his meeting with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, Mitsotakis stated that the talks were conducted in a positive atmosphere and provided an opportunity to reiterate their fixed positions on the Cyprus issue.
President Christodoulidis echoed the sentiment of continued coordination between Greece and Cyprus, expressing his satisfaction with the discussions and outcomes of their meeting.
