City sealed a commanding 4-0 triumph on the night and a comprehensive 5-1 aggregate win, courtesy of Eder Militao’s own goal and a late strike from substitute Julian Alvarez.

Currently on the cusp of clinching the Premier League title and with a spot in the FA Cup final, Pep Guardiola’s squad will face Inter Milan in the final showdown on June 10th in Istanbul, as they seek their maiden Champions League triumph.

Right from the start, Guardiola’s side outshone the 14-time winners, with only exceptional saves from Thibaut Courtois denying Erling Haaland an early lead for the hosts. However, City’s persistence paid off as Silva unleashed a whipped near-post finish, leaving Courtois helpless and granting him his first goal of the night.

Before halftime, the Portugal midfielder struck again, lofting a header over David Alaba and into the back of the net. Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos came close to scoring, hitting the bar from distance, but the Spanish giants struggled to mount a significant threat while City exhibited one of their most impressive European performances in recent memory.

Courtois denied Haaland once more in the dying minutes, pushing the striker’s shot onto the bar. Nevertheless, City added a third goal when Manuel Akanji’s flicked header from Kevin de Bruyne’s free-kick deflected off Militao and into his own net. Alvarez then completed the rout with a composed finish, securing City’s well-deserved place in the final.
