Athens, Greece – Emirates and AEGEAN airlines on Tuesday announced a significant expansion of their codeshare agreement, coinciding with the celebration of their one-year partnership that has already benefited more than 16,800 passengers. The new phase of their collaboration introduces the Athens-New York (Newark) route, providing travelers with enhanced connectivity and seamless journeys between destinations.
The Emirates and AEGEAN codeshare partnership was initially launched in August 2022, offering passengers a hassle-free booking experience across both airlines’ networks. Emirates passengers can now enjoy a stopover in Athens before taking advantage of AEGEAN’s extensive connections to popular Greek and European destinations. Similarly, AEGEAN travelers gain access to Emirates flights between Athens and Dubai, as well as to flights connecting Athens and Newark.
This strategic alliance has allowed passengers to book travel itineraries with ease, using a single ticket and one baggage policy. Customers can access a combined network of over 200 destinations globally, with AEGEAN offering flights to 17 domestic destinations and 53 additional points in regional Europe and the Middle East from its Athens hub, while Emirates extends its global reach to more than 140 destinations across six continents from its Dubai hub.

Emirates has been consistently expanding its network through partnerships, with 29 codeshare and 117 interline agreements in over 100 countries. This extensive collaboration allows travelers seamless connectivity to over 5,250 destinations beyond Emirates’ network.
