Kostas’ older brother, Thanasis, also had a stint with Panathinaikos from 2017 to 2019. Last season, Kostas played for Fenerbahçe in Turkey after a short stint with the G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls.
Following his success in helping Dominican win a state championship, Kostas spent two years at the University of Dayton before being selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Shortly after, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, where he spent a season before joining the Los Angeles Lakers for two years, including their championship-winning season in 2020.
Kostas’ European basketball journey began in the 2021-22 season when he played for ASVEL in France. Standing tall at 6 feet 10 inches, the talented forward will join his older brothers, Thanasis and Giannis, in representing Greece in the upcoming World Cup tournament this summer.
