On Wednesday, Greek authorities successfully rescued 40 migrants from a sinking dinghy in the Aegean Sea, near the eastern Greek island of Lesbos. The coast guard responded promptly and ensured the safety of all individuals aboard the inflatable vessel, who were reported to be in good health.
Surprisingly, two of the rescued migrants were charged with causing a shipwreck and endangering lives. It is alleged that they deliberately scuttled the dinghy as the coast guard approached.
