Renowned luxury hotel chain Mandarin Oriental has unveiled its inaugural establishment in Greece, located at Costa Navarino on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese region. The property, spanning 140 hectares, boasts 99 opulent suites and villas, marking a significant investment of over €100 million.
This strategic venture marks the beginning of Mandarin Oriental’s presence in Greece, with plans for a second property already underway. The forthcoming Mandarin Oriental will grace Elliniko, an area situated in close proximity to Athens.
The decision to set up shop in Greece was announced in February of this year, propelling the luxury hotel chain into this Mediterranean haven. The new hotel, aptly named Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, is situated within the upscale Costa Navarino development. The resort enjoys a beachfront location and is conveniently accessible by a three-hour car journey from Athens or a 40-minute drive from Kalamata International Airport.
Perched gracefully on the Messanian hillside, the first Grecian retreat showcases an array of accommodations, including 48 pool villas graced with outdoor terraces that command stunning views of the sea. Guests are treated to an expansive wellness facility spanning 16,145 square feet, complete with an indoor-outdoor pool to indulge in moments of relaxation. The culinary experience is equally lavish, with a choice of five distinctive restaurants and bars offering a diverse range of dining options.
