Magic Johnson’s summer vacation in Greece continued with a star-studded “Greek God and Goddess Extravaganza.” The retired basketball legend, accompanied by his wife Earlitha “Cookie” Johnson and their friends, enjoyed a toga party aboard the Phoenix 2 yacht. Johnson and Cookie donned gold laurels, with Johnson wearing a white toga and Cookie a white dress. The basketball icon shared pictures of the event on Instagram, expressing their delight in dressing up, dancing, and enjoying the fabulous spread prepared by Chef Daisy while basking in the beauty of a Greek sunset.
Before the party, Johnson indulged in a thrilling jet ski adventure in Myrtos Bay on Kefalonia Island. The ocean and scenic coastlines of Greece brought him immense joy, and he chronicled these moments through clips and photos on social media.
Magic Johnson’s European journey began in early July, where he and Cookie dined at the restaurant Michelangelo in Antibes, France. Throughout the trip, Johnson shared snapshots of his adventures, even posing with the likes of Samuel L. Jackson and music mogul Clive Davis.
Amid all the fun, Johnson briefly returned to the U.S. for a significant business venture. He became a member of the Washington Commanders’ ownership group, a deal worth an astounding $6 billion led by Apollo Global Management co-founder Josh Harris. As a Black man, Johnson emphasized the importance of breaking barriers and creating opportunities for the African American community in the business world, expressing his commitment to excel and pave the way for others.
With his business responsibilities temporarily handled, Johnson eagerly rejoined his family in the Mediterranean. He and Cookie share two children, EJ and Elisa, and Johnson has another son, Andre, from a previous relationship. As the NBA Hall of Famer continues his vacation, he cherishes the support from the DMV community and is honored to be a co-owner of the Commanders franchise, considering it a historic achievement in his business career.
