Air Serbia has recently introduced a new seasonal service connecting Belgrade with Heraklion, the capital city of Crete in Greece, for the summer of 2023.
The Serbian flag carrier will operate flights between the two cities four times a week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, utilizing an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Boško Rupić, the General Manager of Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia, expressed the airline’s enthusiasm for expanding its presence in Greece during a ceremony held on May 31 at Heraklion Airport to commemorate the arrival of flight JU750 from Belgrade.
“With the introduction of a service to this city, we have expanded Air Serbia’s presence in the friendly country of Greece,” says the General Manager.
“Heraklion is the crossroads of three continents and one of the most vibrant places in the Mediterranean, and as of today, a new destination in our growing network,” he added.
Rupić highlighted Heraklion’s significance as a bustling Mediterranean destination and a crossroads between three continents. The addition of Heraklion to Air Serbia’s network signifies the airline’s commitment to expanding its reach and providing more travel options for passengers.
In addition to the Belgrade-Heraklion route, Air Serbia will also commence operations to other popular Greek leisure destinations in June, including Rhodes, Corfu, and Chania. This expanded network will enable travelers to conveniently access these sought-after destinations.
Air Serbia’s extensive connectivity from Heraklion, via Belgrade, opens up opportunities for passengers to reach numerous European cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich, Paris, Rome, and many others.
